In RPG Maker MV, events can only trigger when you are either standing next to them or on top of them. This plugin lets you bind their activation to different events onto regions, making them trigger if the player is standing on the designated region first before talking to them through the Action Button, Player Touch, Event Touch, Autorun, and/or Parallels giving them multitudes of ways to trigger events. All of these can be done by simply adding Comment Tags into an event’s page.

This is different from Region Events, which causes a Common Event to autorun once the player has stepped onto one of those regions. This plugin binds actual map events to regions instead.

Apply common events to specified regions! Simply by stepping on a tile marked by that region will trigger a specific common event!

WARNING: Keep in mind that if you apply this in areas with step encounters, it will not cause the encounter countdown value to go down. This is how RPG Maker MV handles it. The same way if you were to lay out your map with touch-events that trigger common events, the encounter countdown value would not go down either. To get around this, within the common event used, place a script call with $gamePlayer.updateEncounterCount().

Plugin Updates 152~

A couple of updates tonight!

The Battle Engine Core gets an update for the automatic selection of the Dead Ally and Dead Allies scopes. Now, upon selecting them, they will automatically target the first dead ally available as a quality of life improvement as well as to reduce player confusion.

Previously, the Picture Common Events plugin required the Region Events plugin unknowingly for one of the plugin commands to work. The newest update will now allow the Picture Common Events plugin to function on its own without the dependency on Region Events.

The new Attachable Augments plugin gets quite a few bugfixes tonight. There’s been quite a few mechanics that didn’t work together and clashed. These have been recoded a bit to work with one another with the intended effect! These should be working now!
