There's been some confusion regarding this. Allow us to explain what each sentence means.

; If a compatibility patch needs to be made through a third party that is unaffiliated with VisuStella that involves using code from the VisuStella MZ library, contact must be made with a member from VisuStella and have it approved.

The "involves using code from the VisuStella MZ library" means that if you do not use code from the VisuStella MZ library, you do not need to ask for our permission. If you make a patch that does NOT use the VisuStella MZ library's code, permission is not needed.

To fully understand this, let's put this into a different perspective:

* '''Priscilla the Poster Maker''' likes it.
* '''Priscilla the Poster Maker''' has to ask for permission to put that artwork on a poster.

Replace the artwork with code and the poster with a patch, and you have the same story.

Once the patch has been made, it will be officially recognized by VisuStella and we will urge users to use that if they are using both of these parties' plugins.
