Plugin Updates 131~

A bug fix is made for Actor Variables today for those who are using the command order function for the Status Menu Core. Previously, putting the ‘variables’ string in the command window line wouldn’t place the command in the right place, but now it will!

But the ATB and CTB plugins get a small change. The “Turn Start” turn counter will now update upon the arrival of the battler’s turn instead of after selecting an action for it. While I originally kept it until after selecting an action to mimic the default battle system’s way of doing it, it’s not hard to realize this causes more confusion otherwise. Though “Turn Start” isn’t exactly viable for tick-based battle systems like ATB and CTB, there are still niche uses for it, which benefit better from the way it’s handled if the state turn update is moved to the arrival of an actor’s turn.

Plugin Updates 130~

A couple of updates tonight! Tick-Based Regen gets an update to fix a bug that prevented custom Leave Effects from the Buffs & States Core to not proc. Event Chase Player gets an update to the chaser/fleer AI. While chasing, the chaser will have better pathfinding by utilizing the pathfinding AI that the player character uses when you click on a part of the map. The difference here is that the event will be chasing the player location instead. When fleeing, the fleeing event will occasionally run a random direction and not exactly 180 degrees away from the player. This is to prevent the event from suddenly running into a single tree while the player walks up to it from behind, when its options for escaping were definitely there.

Plugin Updates 127~

Ever since the version 1.1.0 update for RPG Maker MV, there were only a couple of plugins that needed updating. However, I decided to dig a little bit deeper and one of the core aspects regarding Database loading for RPG Maker MV has been updated to not reset uncontrollably. That said, I’ve decided that the following (big) list of plugins could use an update to make the loading process more efficient. And while these plugins are updated for v1.1.0, if you decide to stick with RPG Maker v1.0.0 for whatever reason, these plugins will still work for your project so fret not! However, I do recommend the update to a higher RPG Maker MV version for the awesome new features!

A couple of plugin updates tonight! The updates are to synch up the current plugins with the new changes made to MV’s version 1.1.0 update. To my surprise, there weren’t that many plugins that needed updating, although I’m sure a few may have flew under the radar. Whatever the case is, these plugins are updated and should work regardless of whether or not you have updated to version 1.1.0.

Plugin Updates 125~

A plugin update tonight! Though, it’s more like a standardized compatibility update to make it work with other plugins that are using the Skill Core. This plugin update won’t exactly have a bit effect on your game if you’re using YEP-only plugins, but hey, it doesn’t hurt to have that compatibility for the future~

The Battle Engine Core gets a small update today in preparation for the Advanced Counters plugin coming next week! What it does is it shifts around the activation window between Magic Reflect and Counterattack. What does this mean? Magic Reflect will give priority over Counterattack. While normally, this isn’t a conflicting issue as Magic Reflect will only reflect magical attacks and counterattack will only counterattack will only counterattack physical skills, it will matter in Advanced Counters because the physical-only restriction will be lifted! 😀 This update is a preparation for when that time comes!

A couple of updates today. The Steal & Snatch plugin gets a bug fixed where a particular notetag caused the game to freeze. That is fixed now. Extended Message Pack 1 gets an update with added plugin commands and script calls to allow extended choices, because 20 switches may not just be enough for certain projects.

No bugfixes tonight. However, there is another new feature added. The Party System now gets an EXP Reserve option in the plugin parameters (default off). If enabled, EXP will be split and distributed amongst the living party members. This was a feature I had added in the VX Ace version of the script, but somehow, it slipped my mind in adding it to the plugin version so here it is!

Some of you may have probably been wondering why there weren’t any plugin updates for the past few days. Well, truth is, there haven’t been any bugs fixed, which is a good thing. 😀 More plugin stability! ❤ Whenever there’s no plugin bugs to fix, I try to work on new features or get a headstart on the upcoming plugins. So, for tonight’s new feature, it’s for the Event Chase Player plugin. This plugin adds new a new chasing mechanic. When the chase/flee sequence ends, there will be a brief wait time, and then the event proceeds to return back to its original location. This feature can be toggled on/off individually per event. Just be sure to update the plugin properly by opening up the plugin parameters for it! 🙂

A couple of updates today! The Instant Cast plugin gets fail safes added to it for people adding it into their game after having made saves. The Row Formation plugin gets a bug fix to it where using the Row command mid-battle did not update the turns properly. That’s all for tonight. 😀

A couple of updates tonight! The ATB and CTB get a bugfix that occurs unexpected due to innate counterattacks. This should be fixed. The Party Limit Gauge gets a bugfix for heal formulas that prevent them from using ‘user’ properly. And that’ll be all for tonight! 😀
